Terms & Conditions

Please familiarise yourself with our Terms & Conditions, they also include safety guidelines & regulations that need to be adhered to, to ensure safe use of the equipment & to avoid injury or damage. When you sign online you agree to all the conditions set out by us at Aylesbury Castle Hire & Soft Play.

You will be required to sign a copy of our terms & conditions, upon delivery of equipment/Inflatables that you hire from us. Not all points here maybe on the terms & conditions that you sign.- this will now be required to do online when booking. When you place your booking with us, you agree to the terms & conditions we have set out, whether signed for or not.

It is the responsibility of the customer (hirer) to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury or damage to any equipment/inflatable. If damaged is caused to any of the equipment, you as the hirer will be held responsible for any costs incurred to repair or replace, including any lost booking costs.
We DO NOT provide staff to man or supervise any of the equipment, once set up has been completed this responsibility will be down to the hirer, we only supply the hired equipment & set it up, you will be given a risk assessment & safety chat on delivery & set up, to ensure all measures are taken for safe play so please ensure that the following safety instructions are followed.

WE DO NOT ALLOW FACE-PAINT, HENNA, CONFETTI BALLOONS, SILLY STRING OR PARTY POPPERS ON ANY OF OUR EQUIPMENT AS IT STAINS, PLEASE DO NOT BOOK ANY OF OUR EQUIPMENT IF YOU ARE WANTING A FACE-PAINTER, OR ABOVE , AT BEST YOU WILL BE BILLED £50 CLEANING CHARGE, HOWEVER FROM EXPERIENCE WE KNOW THAT FACE PAINT STAINS SO YOU WILL BE BILLED FOR A REPLACEMENT & LOSS FOR ANY BOOKINGS.

ARTS & CRAFT TABLES AT YOUR EVENT, IF YOUR HAVING A CRAFT TABLE WE WOULD PREFER YOU TO USE CRAYONS OR PENCILS & NOT FELT TIPS, FELT TIPS STAIN & ARE NOT ALLOWED ON ANY OF OUR EQUIPMENT AT ANYTIME, IF OUR EQUIPMENT IS DRAWN ON YOU WILL BE BILLED FOR EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT & ANY LOSS OF EARNINGS WHILST WE WAIT FOR A REPLACEMENT. WE DO NOT ALLOW PLASTERCINE/PLAYDOUGH ON OUR EQUIPMENT OR ANY TYPE OF GLUE.

WE DO NOT PUT INFLATABLES ON OPEN ACCESS PUBLIC LAND, PUBLIC FOOTPATHS OR COMMUNAL LAND, WE WOULD NEED WRITTEN PERMISSION FROM THE LAND OWNER THIS WOULD NORMALLY BE THE LOCAL AUTHORITY. WE DO NOT PUT ANY CABLING ACROSS PUBLIC ACCESS LAND, PUBLIC FOOTPATHS OR ROADS, NO ONLY DOES THIS CREATE A TRIP HAZZARD IT ALSO RUNS THE RISK OF DAMAGE TO OUR CABLING. We do not put castles/inflatables outside on Concrete, Paving Slabs, Decking, Fake Grass or Gravel! We can only pitch our castles/inflatables on natural grass, which must be flat with no obstructions such as over hanging trees, washing line poles, tree stumps etc, & no animal poo!!

Weather Related Cancellations

We will only cancel your booking on the day, we do not refund any deposit or booking fee paid, this can be transferred to an alternative date within a 3 month period subject to our availability. This is because no one can control the weather and you would have had the opportunity to book for a venue prior to booking with us, so you take the risk with the weather when booking. If you contact us prior to this to say you want to cancel as weather looking bad you will still be required to pay for the hired equipment on your booking. We will start to contact you in the run up to your booking if there is a chance that your booking may not be able to go ahead because of predicted weather conditions, including wind gusts. We will always try to offer an alternative such as soft play or giant games if your booking has to be cancelled to due the weather. If you wish for your booking to be guaranteed to go ahead, we would always recommend booking a venue.

Wind Gust Cancellations

Wind gusts for us are extremely frustrating & we have more wind cancellations than rain cancellations, even on a sunny day we can't control the wind, we always advise that you have a back up plan, we are a safe company & will not go against HSE rules, no matter how disappointed you feel as safety is absolutely paramount to us, please be aware we are not letting you down, cancelling is not something we want to do. Legally we are not allowed to set up any inflatables outside if wind speeds reach & exceed 24 MPH, including wind gusts, & 21 MPH in open spaces such as fields, it is against the law, it is not safe and makes our insurance invalid, as it does for every other company. We monitor the weather very closely, we do not take the decision lightly to cancel your booking but will do so if wind gusts ( not wind speeds) are predicted to be over the legal limit. If you choose to book your event outside, you take the risk of a cancellation, because the weather cannot be guaranteed & you have an opportunity to book a hall beforehand, therefore we do not refund your £25 Deposit/Booking fee, we are happy to offer an alternative date within a 3 month period subject to availability, & can only be deferred once. If you wish to guarantee that your booking goes ahead we would always recommend booking a venue, sadly we cannot control the weather.

CURRENT PLANS FOR BOUNCY CASTLE DELIVERIES;

You will need a clear side or rear access for us to safely come into your back garden, this area needs to be secure & no open access for friends or neighbours to come & use the equipment.

Delivery will need to be contactless, so you will need to stay inside your property whilst we set up the bouncy castle

Payment will need to be made via a bank transfer the day before delivery. If your balance is not paid by the cut off time, we may not be able to bring your delivery, however you will still be liable for full payment for which you will be invoiced for.

You will need to sign terms & conditions via esignature online along with a basic risk assessment any other risks upon delivery, we will call you from the garden to explain.

The castle will be fully sanitised prior to delivery

Upon collection we will call you to give you a time that we will be collecting, you will need to go inside your property whilst we do this, Do not switch the castle off as we need to spray it with Dettol before we deflate & roll it up.

If any household member develops a temperature or new continuous cough prior to delivery its very important that you tell us, or if you think you may have coronavirus, the castle delivery will not be able to ahead, although you may be disappointed, the castle is not important & can be rebooked for another day, its important to stop the spread & save lives.

WE DO NOT HIRE SOFT PLAY OUTSIDE.

If the weather is hot, the mats & soft play material can get very hot to touch, especially for little hands, if wet or wet weather the day before your booking the rain ruins our shapes, & the sponges inside absorb the rain water, making them unusable & smelly. If you put soft play outside & it rains, & the products get wet, & soiled with rain water you will be charged for a replacement set, including any charges to any bookings that we lose whilst waiting for that replacement.

Disclaimer: we do not accept any responsibility or liability to the spread on coronavirus - covid 19, all our equipment is fully sanitised prior to use & along with government guidelines will be cleaned with bleach & rinsed off, then steamed cleaned and sprayed with the antibacterial spray Dettol, after each hire the equipment will be rested for 7 days.

Basic Risk Assessment:

No one to go to the rear of the castle. A trip hazard maybe present with the cable from the blower, which will be pointed out to you, all safety crash mats will frequently need to be pushed back to the front of the castle as they will move as you exit the castle. Reasons the castle could deflate; they're could be a power cut, someone may switch the plug off, if you see the castle deflating its your priority to get everyone off as quickly & safely as possible. No one to climb the side or rear walls or front posts, no eating or drinking on the castle as this creates a choking hazard, the castle will be pegged into the ground, with at least 2 on either side, the straps from the pegs could create a trip hazard if walking down the side of the castle. If we see any other risks upon delivery we will phone you from the garden to point them out.

ONCE THE INFLATABLE IS SET UP, under no circumstances do you move the inflatable, when we set it up, we make sure it’s completely safe, & a risk assessment given, if you move it, our public liability insurance is no longer valid, & any damage caused will be fully payable. When you sign our terms & conditions you agree to adhere to these rules.

We always aim to get delivered & set up in time for your event, however we cannot accept responsibility, if unforeseen circumstances happen, such as Traffic delays, vehicle breakdown, weather conditions etc.

On the rare occasion it may be necessary for us to change your equipment, for example if something gets damaged, we will always offer an alternative as close to as possible to what you’ve hired or something of greater value, we appreciate this may be disappointing but it will be out of our control, if you wish to cancel, you will still be required to pay the outstanding balance unless 28 days notice is given. We unfortunately cannot help things that are out of our control & it’s likely we will hold off as close to your party date before we have to implement any changes.

We offer free delivery within a 10 Miles radius with a minimum order spend of £75, however a fee will be charged if over 10 Miles with a minimum order spend of £150, We have to impose a minimum order spend if travel is over 10 miles because the travel time will restrict how many local deliveries we can do, please click on postcode selection when checking availability for delivery charge.

If you’ve booked a venue, we will always try to accommodate your timings please allow at least 30 mins either side of your party to allow us to set up & pack down, if we have a distance to travel to your venue please allow an hour either side as we have to allow for traffic delays.
If they're are any access problems with your venue when we turn up deliver & we are unable too, please note no refund will be offered or alternative date, we will always try our best to resolve any issues, however if timings are tight for us & we are committed to other bookings we will not be able to wait or come back.

Your deposit/booking fee paid is non refundable even in the event of bad weather or wind gusts, in the event of an emergency, no access to venue or illness the reason being, we have to prepare your equipment & fully clean it, we also spend time doing admin to prepare for your booking, so we cannot work for nothing, we are happy to transfer your deposit/booking fee to an alternative date within a 3 month period, this is subject to availability, this is only applicable if cancellation is made on the day your hiring our equipment.

We do not hire our equipment outside throughout the winter months, if your booking is at a venue you will need to check with us first to make sure we can accommodate your timings, you must also put the venue name on the delivery address not just the road name.

Please note, we do our outside deliveries between 8am-1pm & collections between 4pm-6pm. If you wish for the hired equipment to be picked up later than 6pm a £30 late collection fee will be incurred up to 8pm & this is by arrangement made with us prior to booking. We do not do overnight hires, on the very odd occasion we may consider doing overnight but this is by prior arrangement & an additional fee of £50 per castle & £85 for a funrun will be charged, any damage to the equipment, including wildlife damage will be charged for a repair & loss of earnings. Equipment can be hired for up to 6 - 8 hours, but this is not guaranteed as will depend on our routing, and is done on a first come first serve basis. Once your booking has been received we will contact you via email if any other charges are to be applied to your booking. We are perfectly within our rights to cancel any booking at anytime if we feel that our equipment is not going to be used properly, or at threat of being damaged.

We offer a Covid cancellation policy which is a fee of £20 that you can add to your booking, we strongly recommend adding this option, with Covid cases still high in the area, this will cover the cost of the hired equipment should you need to cancel at short notice as per our terms & conditions we require 28 days notice from yourselves to cancel your booking, and know this is not always possible with Covid. Once added to your booking, you can change your mind within 24 hours to remove the cover if you wish, if not this will become payable along with your outstanding balance on the Thursday before your event. If you don't take the insurance when booking & then change your mind, we are happy to add it within 24 hours of you placing your booking, it can not be added any later than this, so please do send us an email for us to do it.

1) No adult should use any of the equipment that is provided solely for the use of children.

2) If the equipment/inflatable is being hired for child use a responsible adult over the age of 18 must supervise the equipment/inflatable at all times. This person must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

3) No food or drinks must be consumed on or near the equipment/inflatable, this is to avoid any choking hazard, staining or mess, please be aware, if upon collection, the equipment is in a dirty condition, a cleaning charge of £30 will be levied & if it’s covered in mud a cleaning charge of £75 will be levied, it takes a lot of hard work & many hours to clean mud off, please note if you use items such as hose pipes, sprinklers, water guns or any water based equipment & the inflatable gets dirty from this a £75 drying out charge will be levied.

Please note if the equipment comes back in dirty, messy or damaged condition and is out for hire the next day, and we are not able to use it YOU will be billed the amount of that hire to cover our costs of the lost hire.

4) All shoes, badges, jewellery, including earrings, necklaces etc, must be removed, we also highly recommend that glasses/spectacles are also removed.

5) No face paints, silly string, party poppers, coloured streamers, glitters balloons & henna must be used on or near any of the equipment/inflatable, as they can cause staining. Please note, if you use any of those above on our equipment, you will be charged £30 cleaning charge, if we aren’t able to get the stain (S) out you will be charged for a full replacement of the equipment, & any cost to us for lost bookings, we don’t want to be party poopers, however we take a lot of pride in our equipment & how clean it is presented on delivery, I’m sure you would not appreciate us turning up with equipment that is dirty or stained, so these are very important rules that must be adhered too at all times.

6) No smoking, barbecues or flames of any kind are to be used on or near any of the equipment/inflatable.

7) No pets, toys or sharp objects are allowed on the equipment/inflatable.

8) Ensure the inflatable is not overcrowded, limit the numbers depending on size & ages of the children using it, if children are colliding into each other then it is overcrowded.

9) Avoid larger children playing on the inflatable at the same time as smaller children, as this could lead to injury.

10) Absolutely NO climbing, hanging or sitting on the walls, this is very dangerous, & could lead to a serious accident, as well as damage to the inflatable.

11) Fighting, pushing, colliding into each other, doing somersaults on the inflatables is strictly forbidden, it is dangerous, & can cause an injury.

12) No one under the influence of drugs or alcohol is permitted to use any of the equipment or inflatables.

13) Do not allow anyone to bounce on the front step, the step is there to help users get on & off.

14) No users on the inflatable whilst it's being inflated or deflated.

15) Do not switch the blower on & off whilst the inflatable is in use.

16) Ensure no one with a history of heart, neck or back problems, high blood pressure, joint or bone weakness uses the equipment/inflatable. Any person that feels unwell is advised to remove themselves, or be removed from the equipment/inflatable immediately.

17) If the inflatable becomes wet, it should not be used, it will become extremely slippery making it dangerous, this includes NO sprinklers or hosepipes to be used on the equipment under any circumstances regardless of how nice or hot the weather maybe. If such equipment is used & makes the castle wet, we will charge you a £50 drying out fee.

18) In the event of persistent or heavy rain, we advise that the inflatable be LEFT SWITCHED ON, so the base does not fill up with water. Once this has passed, you will see bubbling coming through the seams this is perfectly normal it can either be left to dry naturally or with a towel. The Castle needs to be left inflated for the duration of your event.

19) At each outside hire, you will be left with a wind measuring metre, it is very important that if on the day of your hire, it's breezy, that wind speeds are checked on a regular basis, if wind speeds reach 24 mph we advise that all users exit the inflatable & it is switch off immediately, 21mph if an open area. This is for safety reasons.

20) Only use the electrical equipment provided, as it meets all the correct safety requirements.

21) In the event that the blower/fan stops working, ensure that all users exit the inflatable immediately. The first thing to check is that the blower tube has not become detached, or nothing has been placed on it, causing an obstruction to the airflow, ensure that all deflation zips ( normally to the rear of inflatable) are still closed, if this all seems fine, then please switch the blower/fan off at the mains & call us.

22) Safety mats that are provided, will need to be regularly put back into position, as they tend to move as users enter or exit the inflatables.

23) All soft play equipment & add ons comes with various age restrictions, you will be given, a copy of this, relevant to what you are hiring.

24) It is the hirers (the person who places the booking) responsibility to ensure the equipment hired fits into the area that you wish it to be placed, with no obstructions, 2ft either side of the castle & to the front, & 4ft to the rear, the area must be flat, including the additional space, if outside the area must be of natural grass, no concrete or gravel. if on arrival the equipment doesn't fit you will still be required to pay the full amount outstanding.

25) Cancellation/Deposit/Booking Fee: You will be required to pay a non refundable £25 booking fee/deposit to secure your booking, if you wish to cancel your booking we require 28 days notice, otherwise the outstanding balance will become due within 7 days of your cancellation. Short notice cancellations Including on the day due to illness will not be refunded, full payment of the said hired equipment will still be required to be paid in full, however we are happy to transfer to an alternative date within a 3 month period subject to availability, no refund will be offered for any monies already paid.

If more than 28 days notice is given, we will offer a transfer of the said deposit/booking fee made within a 3 month period, if your original party date exceeds the 3 month period we will offer a partial refund of £15 & retain £10 to cover our admin costs any transfer of fees to new party date will be subject to our existing bookings commitments & product availability, & will only be offered on one occasion, If less than 28 days given, no transfer of said deposit/booking fee will be offered.

We DO NOT refund any deposit/booking fee paid due to bad weather, this is because we have already done a lot of work behind the scenes, as in admin work & the cleaning of the equipment due to be hired. Your booking will only be cancelled on the day, as the predicted forecast is quite often wrong. If we advise on the day the castle cannot go out because of the rain, we will try to offer an alternative, if you the customer are insisting you still want the castle & it gets wet, we will bill you a drying out fee of £50!! If you decide to cancel your booking with us in the run up to your booking because of predicted weather, you will be required to pay any outstanding balance within a 7 day period, as it’s unlikely we will have time to rebook the equipment to another customer. If we cancel your booking on the day because of bad weather inclusive of wind gusts over the legal limit, we will offer you a transfer of your deposit/booking fee paid within a 3 month period, subject to availability & booking commitments.

If you wish to cancel your booking we will require 28 days notice or you will still need to pay for the package, we don’t make any exceptions on this, as this is our living & only form of income, we still have overheads to pay & it’s unlikely we will be able to fill your cancelled slot, if your cancellation is short notice due to illness, accident or a bereavement unfortunately you will still need to pay for your package when the payment is due, however we will generously transfer your paid party package to an alternative date within a 6 month period subject to our availability.

26) We require 28 days notice to change your booking. Whilst we are happy to add equipment to your booking if available, we require 28 days notice to remove any items from your booking that you no longer require, so we have the opportunity to hire out to another customer, otherwise you will still be required to pay for the items that you no longer wish on your booking.

27) We only offer discounts on packages, these are either items that we have put together in a package, ie matching castle & soft play or inflatable packages, the price you see online is the price you will need to pay, we do not offer discount on single items, if you book a package & for some reason out of our control such as the weather, you can only have part of the package, for example bouncy castle outside & soft play inside, we will partial refund, however you will not receive a discount on the items that you use & full price is chargeable.

28) If we are not able to collect the hired equipment due to your event going on longer than expected, or we aren't able to gain access to collect the hired equipment, a fee of £25 will be levied

29) Your delivery is an estimated delivery time, we will always deliver as close as possible to the time that you select, however we will send an email a few days before hand with a more accurate delivery time, we do not guarantee to deliver at the time you request, this is more to give us a general idea of when your happy to receive your party equipment, a lot of delivery & collection times will depend on how many bookings we have on the day & our route, also if we have timed hall bookings they take preference over outside garden bookings. We ask for your party start time so we can make sure the equipment is set up in time. We will always make the effort to ensure all equipment is set up in time for when your guests arrive, however we can not be responsible for traffic delays due to roadworks or an accident, or if we was to break down.

30) We are happy to change details on your booking on one occasion, any further changes after this will incur a £15 administration fee.

31) Please Note: We no longer hire to pubs for fun days or weddings, due to lack of supervision & our equipment being damaged

DISCLAIMER

Please note that all persons using the equipment/inflatable(s) does so at their own risk, Aylesbury Castle Hire cannot accept any responsibility for any injury caused to anyone using the equipment/inflatable(s).

The person(s) or organisation hiring the equipment/inflatable(s) will be fully responsible/liable for any damage, injury, or any loss through theft or otherwise, including malicious damage occurring as a result of mis-use or reckless use & will be liable for any repair or replacement costs, including loss of earnings on bookings.

These guidelines are for the safety of all people using the equipment/inflatable(s) & it is the sole responsibility of the hirer to ensure they are fully adhered to at all times.

Your signature on your booking (inclusive of online signature) & this agreement form confirms that you have read, understood & agree to adhere to them, including our cancellation policy & whilst the equipment that we Aylesbury Castle Hire have supplied to you is in your care you are fully responsible for any loss, damage or theft that may occur, this includes the equipment being returned in an unacceptable condition, including a dirty or muddy condition, which will incur a cleaning charge.
